Acolytes serve during worship services by lighting and extinguishing the candles in the front of the worship area. Serving as an acolyte is an important task provided by our sixth and seventh grade confirmation students. The two sets of candelabras are lit for all worship services; the single communion candles are lit whenever communion is held in a service; the Christ Candle by the pulpit is lit from Christmas until Ascension and in all services with a baptism.
