Our athletic program covers grades 5-8 with the various sports seasons flowing throughout the academic year. Sports are used to teach not only the skills but also the integrating of the Christian faith. Skills and talents are identified in all students and used to the glory of God!

  • Sharing the Grace spirit allows our students and families to promote our school to the community and also to help make outside connections to our school. Spirit wear is available for order periodically throughout the year.

    Chess Club

  • The Chess Club is open to all students in 5K-8th grade and all levels of Chess playing experience are welcome.
  • Chess Club meets after the school day once a week with an 8 week fall session, 8 week inter session and an 8 week spring session. There is a cost for each session and the Chess Club is organized and managed by an outside provider called Checkmates of Milwaukee.
  • Information about each session and registration material can be found in the school newsletter during the school year.
  • Pre registration and payment is required to participate in each session.
  • Knowledge Bowl

  • Each year Grace Lutheran forms a Knowledge Bowl Team that practices and prepares for the Waukesha County Knowledge Bowl competition that is held each May.
  • Students in grades 6-7-8 grade all take a test to determine team members.
  • The School Newsletter will contain all the Knowledge Bowl information as it becomes available.
  • Spelling/Geography Bees

  • Grace Lutheran School participates in the National Geography Bee as well as the Menomonee Falls Public School District Spelling Bee.
  • Students in grades 5-8 participate in a school spelling bee to determine who will go on to the main spelling bee and possible participation at the state and national level.
  • The Geography Bee is held each year with select students from Grades 4-8.

    The purpose of the Grace Lutheran Student Council is to:

  • Represent the interests of the student body in student governmental affairs.
  • Provide services that improve the quality of the life of Grace students.
  • Keep the student body informed of relevant issues.
  • Oversee and regulate activities, organizations and the funds in the interests of the student body.
  • Maintain a positive relationship between the student body, school administration and the local community.
  • Serve as the representative of the students at Grace Lutheran School.
  • GLS Student Council has a wealth of opportunities to get involved. Some of the exciting activities include...

  • Bowling parties for Grades 3-8
  • Pep Rallies
  • Teacher Help Day to assist with classroom set-up before school year begins
  • Fun and Games day for K-4 students
  • Middle School Dances (3 times per year)
  • Christmas Party for K-3 students

    School Choirs

  • Our Grace School student choirs sing periodically throughout the school year at our worship services.
  • Choirs are divided by age groups K-2nd, 3rd-5th and an optional 6-8th grade choir that performs a variety of different styles and sings in 2 part harmony.
  • Choir Chimes/Handbells

  • A group of twelve 6-8th graders who volunteer part of their lunch period to practice for our chapel services.
  • Recorders

  • Recorders are a part of the 4th grade curriculum. During this class, students learn about music dictation and reading notes.
  • Band

  • For 5th - 8th grade students
  • In association with Milwaukee Lutheran High School

  • Scouting

    Cub Scouts

  • We offer Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts for 1st - 8th Grade.
