Services typically last 70 minutes. We understand that people are busy, but we also greatly desire to spend time in worship, in the Word, in ministry, and in fellowship.
We believe that you will experience the God of love and the love of our people. We appreciate people who visit us. We want to welcome you and honor you for visiting with us. We do not believe in a high-pressure "sales pitch" to get you to return. We hope that through your time with us, you will experience the love of God and His people.
Grace is a family growing in Christ while reaching out in love. We are a church family that strives to be a biblical model of faithfulness to God, relevant to culture, and compassionate towards people. We believe in the Truth of the Triune God and both the depravity and beauty of humanity, and ultimately, the need for a Savior to reconcile humanity to God. We believe that Jesus is our Savior. But "salvation" is not merely the goal; this beautiful reception of God's grace is a door to a lifestyle of Holy Living. We also believe that the Church is called to walk humbly, love mercy, and seek the lost through God’s Grace. We believe that this is what you will experience when you visit Grace.
Anyone. Come and see. Just come as you are. We won't sell anything or be pushy. We don't want to make you feel uncomfortable, but at the same time, we're not a church that caters everything around the "consumer-oriented" mentality of our current culture. We believe that a church is a community (Acts 2:42-47), and this means a community of relationship. We sing, we listen, we share Holy Communion, we collect offering, and we hang out. Grace is not a church that focuses or targets a particular demographic. It is growing as a diverse community - economically, generationally, and ethnically. We've got engineers, students, parents, kids, programmers, artists, people looking for work, those who've gone to church regularly, those who've come back after many years, and those who've never been to church before. Who comes? People just like you.
Grace Lutheran is a member of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS). Today, the LCMS has nearly 2 million baptized members in more than 6,000 congregations and some 9,000 pastors. Two seminaries and six colleges and universities operate under the auspices of the LCMS, and its congregations operate the largest Protestant parochial school system in America.
Of course! We welcome anyone who seeks to know Christ and to make Christ known. We have an exciting member program if you want to join, but you are welcome to worship with us regardless of your current or past status.
Communion is offered at all services, except for certain holidays.
If you wish to partake of the Lord’s Supper at Grace, we request that those who wish to commune here answer yes to the following questions:
- Do you believe that you are a sinner and in need of forgiveness from God?
- Do you believe that forgiveness is found only in Christ and is offered by Christ in the Lord’s Supper?
- Do you believe that Christ’s body and blood are truly present in, with, and under the bread and wine?
- Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and by your participation in the sacrament, give testimony to the faith we share?
- Do you desire, by the power of the Holy Spirit, according to God’s Word, to live a life pleasing to Him?
Before communing for the first time at Grace, you are asked to speak with one of the pastors. Children are welcomed at the Lord’s Table to receive a blessing, but should not partake of the Sacrament before a Communion class or Confirmation.
Our church family consists of approximately 2,000 members. But we minister to a much larger number of people than just our member count.
